January 2026
Hi Team, Welcome to January!
Please take the time (up to 30 minutes admin time) to read the newsletter and bring any questions to our upcoming team meeting on Wednesday January 14th @ 11:00.
January 2026 Newsletter
As we welcome 2026, we hope everyone enjoyed a restful and rejuvenating break and is feeling refreshed as we continue supporting our families in the year ahead. Thank you for your meaningful participation in creating our team vision board. Your ideas, values, and energy truly set the tone for what’s to come. We’re excited to carry that shared vision, collaboration, and enthusiasm into the new year together. -Gabi, Cierra, and Kellie
Natasha is joining our team meeting virtually 11:00-11:15 to discuss her services/client referrals in more detail. Read more about her in her bio!
Huge welcome to our new OTs, Stephen and Eileen! They’ve seamlessly taken on their respective caseloads and we are thrilled to have them on our team!
Thank you to all of the OTs that have stepped up to offer vacation coverage while Jazmine is on vacation (we can’t wait to hear about your trip, Jazmine!).
- Friday Therapists: A clinic volunteer will be stationed at the front desk from 2:00–5:00 p.m. Due to holiday schedules, volunteer absences, and admin vacations, please plan to always have your office key with you, especially if you are alone in the clinic, so doors can be locked when stepping away (e.g., bathroom breaks). During this temporary shift in remote admin hours, the admin team will continue to follow their established process to direct families on how to contact them as needed.
- Our 2026 updated Employee Manual will be circulated via Bambee in January; please review and sign when you receive it. Please take an additional 30 minutes of admin time to review highlighted updates.
- OTs: As a follow up to previous newsletters and meeting announcements, we have transitioned to using the BOT-3 and phased out any BOT-2 assessment forms/materials.
- Amy is the new ST grad student from University of Nevada, Reno that will be working with Cierra. She will be taking over some client care for her clinical practicum (with Cierra supervising/observing) and will be encouraged to set up meetings to practice OT/ST collaboration.
- Kellie & Cierra will begin clinical observations this month to support client collaboration and clinical growth.
- For any Kaiser progress reports, please be sure to use the new password: progress26
- OTs: Beginning in January, we will be rotating the mentor/mentee pairs. This change will allow everyone to benefit from guidance, ideas, and clinical perspectives from another therapist, supporting an even more well-rounded and enriching mentoring experience.
- Kellie will continue to be available as a mentoring resource (as well as Gabi for SM cases), but please make sure to utilize your new mentor’s support/collaboration as needed. Should you have any questions, please let Kellie know.
- Please be sure to fill out our (Link to the Skills Group recommendation sheet) for our upcoming winter/spring skills groups starting later this month for any clients you’d like our admin team to reach out to participate: Link to more info on the groups
- January 19th is MLK Day. Our admin team will be sending out an email to our families as a reminder that the clinic is open.
