Little Hands Skills Groups - Winter/Spring 2026
We are excited to announce our Skills Groups for Winter/Spring 2026:

Mindful Movers (ages 3-5)
Mindful Movers will lead children through a 12-week group with an emphasis on strengthening and building self-regulation and social skills to support their confidence and play skills. The group will incorporate intervention approaches including a sensory-motor and play-based approach to assist children in learning and practicing skills through movement to develop an understanding of their bodies in relation to their environment and others. The group will incorporate lessons from both the Zones of Regulation and We Thinkers social skills curriculum to build and create their own “toolboxes” to support their self-regulation and social skills when playing or learning with others wherever they go!
Details:
- Cost: $1,450
- All sessions will be prepaid.
- Superbills can be provided upon request.
- Includes: 12 sessions + parent consultation
- Recommendations for supportive activities and/or strategies will be provided to parents weekly via email.
- The 45-60 minute parent consultation session will be scheduled at the conclusion of the group to tailor specific recommendations to your child’s unique self-regulation and social skills needs.
- Dates: January 20th – April 21st (no session April 7th)
- Day/Time: Tuesdays, 3:45-4:30pm
Each week, the group will focus on building skills related to:
- Social Skills:
- Making and keeping friends
- Entering play
- Flexibility in play
- Physical and emotional regulation during play
- Expressing/understanding feelings during play
- Self-regulation Skills:
- Understanding their own unique sensory system and matching their arousal levels to a particular activity
- Learning tools to assist with self regulation when interacting, learning, and playing with others

Let's Get Organized (Ages 6-10)
Over the course of 12 treatment sessions, children will participate in therapeutic activities to help strengthen their executive functioning skills and support greater independence in managing school and home activities, such as self-care or homework routines. The group will focus on enhancing organizational skills, focus, and planning skills. Co-currently, the group will learn supportive self-regulation strategies to enhance their confidence and success in meeting and accomplishing their daily activities.

- Cost: $1,813
- All sessions will be prepaid.
- Superbills can be provided upon request.
- Includes: 12 sessions + a parent consultation
- Recommendations for activities and/or strategies to support executive functioning will be provided to parents weekly via email.
- The 45-60 minute parent consultation session will be scheduled at the conclusion of the group to collaborate on ways to continue supporting your child’s growth at home and in school.
- Dates: January 21st – April 22nd (no session April 8th)
- Day/Time: Wednesdays, 4:30-5:30pm
Each week, the group will focus on building skills related to:
- Learning strategies for time management.
- Exploring sensory tools and cognitive strategies to support attention and concentration skills.
- Learning strategies to manage complex sensory environments and develop impulse control skills.
- Strengthening planning, sequencing, and organizational skills (Executive Functioning).
- Building social thinking skills and facilitating positive peer interactions to navigate dynamic and sensory rich environments.

Food School (ages 4-5:11; 6-10)
Children participate in play-based activities incorporating a whole-body approach to eating. This encompasses postural control, oral motor skills, behavior, learning, sensory processing, medical needs, and nutritional considerations.

- Bigs Group (ages 6-10):
- Days/Times: Mondays 4:30-5:30pm
- Dates: January 26-June 1st (no sessions February 16th, May 25th)
- Littles Group (ages 4-5:11):
- Days/Times: Wednesdays from 2:45-3:45pm
- Dates: January 28th -June 3rd
Signing Up:
- For families who are currently receiving OT feeding therapy OR have participated in a previous OT Feeding group:
- Please email our Clinic Coordinator, Emily (eo@littlehandsot.com) indicating your interest.
- Then, complete an updated Feeding History Questionnaire (linked) & update any food allergies or dietary restrictions.
- For new families who have not received OT feeding services:
- To ensure appropriate peer pairings and group treatment goals, we require an initial screening to assess group readiness and appropriate fit for our sensory-based intervention approach to feeding.
- Please email our Clinic Coordinator, Emily (eo@littlehandsot.com) to schedule an initial screening.
- Then, submit our initial OT Intake (linked) and Feeding History Questionnaire (linked) forms.
